Selby Civic Society "Pyramids" speaker meeting in September

If you thought pyramids were only to be found along the Nile, think again! 

David Winpenny - author, freelance lecturer, PR consultant and Chairman of Ripon Civic Society -  has researched the subject all over the British Isles and will give an illustrated talk about mausoleums, memorials, garden features, pumps, beacons, sports halls, banks, cinemas - all in pyramidal shape - that can be found in Yorkshire and elsewhere. Hear the stories of their sometimes eccentric builders.

Be prepared for a talk from all sorts of angles -  and one that could be quite pointed!

£2 for members; £5 for non-members - includes refreshments. All welcome.
