Blue Plaque Unveiling on Weds 15th July

Selby Civic Society will be unveiling a Blue Plaque at 48 Micklegate, Selby at 2.00pm on Weds 15th July 2015,  the 125th anniversary of the granting of a patent to David Foster, a Selebian who in 1890 devised and patented equipment for a variety of games, including that which later became known as Table Tennis.

Members of the Selby table tennis fraternity and a historian of the International Table Tennis Federation will join members of the Society for the ceremony.
