An illustrated talk by Clive Dawson, Chair of the Friends of York Cemetery

York Cemetery is a Grade II* listed landscape and is one of only two privately owned Victorian cemeteries in the UK. Founded in 1837, it now encompasses 24 acres. The talk will start with the history of the cemetery and then reveal fascinating facts about Lord Mayors, military personnel and industrialists buried in the cemetery, and will be followed by a guided walk around the cemetery in April.
