Trip to Hull

Selby Civic Society members are joining the "Fraternitie of Olde Selebians" group on SATURDAY 13th MAY for a day coach trip to

"Hull, 2017 City of Culture."

The coach will pick up passengers in Wistow at 8.45 am, Selby (Former Warners Bingo Hall) at 9.00 am and Barlby (9.15 am) to travel to Hull centre.

There are no organised visits or tours for this day trip - members are free to spend a day exploring the many delights of Hull.

In addition to 2017 City of Culture special events (see https://www.hull2017.co.uk/):-

  • 13th May is the penultimate day to see the "Poppy Cascade" at the Maritime Museum;
  • There are several other fine museums to visit - all free;
  • Ferens Art Gallery – free entry;
  • The Fish Trail;
  • Hull Trawler;
  • "The Deep" Aquarium;
  • The Georgian Quarter of the town;
  • A plethora of good pubs
  • Two shopping malls.

Return from Hull will be at about 4.30 pm. Details of the return pick-up point will be advised on the coach.

The cost is £7.00 per person - payable on the coach during the return to Selby.
