Goole Museum visit

Event Date: April 19, 2018 Location: Goole Museum

PLEASE NOTE - THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED

Following last year’s talk by Museum Curator, Debbie Hardy, now’s your chance to see the exhibits - including a new exhibition of restored photographs of Goole and the research done on the images.

Meet at 1.00 pm in the Museum on Carlisle Street, Goole, DN14 5DR. At around 2.15 pm we’ll begin a guided tour of the town led by members of Goole Civic Society, with afternoon tea booked at 4.00 pm in the country’s oldest hotel, the renovated Lowther Hotel on Aire St, Goole, DN14 5QW.

The cost pp will be £11.00 for Afternoon Tea at the Lowther Hotel. We’ll collect this from you at the Museum before the walk commences.

Cheques payable to “Selby Civic Society” please.

Confirm your place by emailing selbycivicsociety@yahoo.co.uk or phone 01757 268418 before 12th April.

Free car parking is on Escourt Street behind the building, and for anyone who doesn't mind walking, at the Leisure Centre - but it is restricted in the area around Home Bargains, Farm Foods etc so you would need to make sure you were in the correct section (as you go in it is the area on the left). Other than that, there is metered parking if you follow the road round from the train station and look to the right - a large car park surrounded by shops.
